Papercuts for new projects

The last few days have seen me developing some sketchbook drawings into stylised motifs and today the fun part has begun; paper-cutting shapes to play with. I love paper-cutting, creating pieces to arrange and scan into the computer is a great way to develop some new ideas both for digital freelance work and screen-prints. Wish it didn't make my finger hurt so much though!

If you continuously use a sharp blade (by changing your blade often) and keep the weight of paper you use under 200gsm without any fibers in it, it should be easier on your fingers ^_^

The colours and designs here look interesting so far, I can't wait to see the results!
