Yep, i draw them, scan them into photoshop then print off the spot colour separations to put on screen...
... or I draw them, cut the out of lino, print them, scan them and reformat them into new compositions on photoshop before re-vamping them as a new screenprint.
Sad news about your print room, I hope it gets fixed soon!

Im curious...do you create your designs digitally before screenprinting them? I love printing but our room has been destroyed at Uni :(
